Purchase a painting and change a child's life! Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit strengthens children in need through one-to-one relationships with volunteer mentors. A child is paired with an adult for a one year period to share "Magical Moments":going to movies, visiting a museum or park or baking cookies together. Statistics show children do better when they have an adult mentor for at least one year and are less likely to use drugs, drink, skip a day of school or engage in violent behavior.
